Bonus Activity: Imagine you’re a fish, looking for a place to take a nap. Swim around your home. Find at least two places where you feel safe sleeping. Forget about beds. What do you notice about each rock you find? What shape is it? What color is it? If you scratch the rock with your fingernail, do any little pieces come off? See if you can find five different rocks on your walk. Then, make a drawing of each rock. Do you think any of them are the type of rock that might contain dinosaur fossils? Why or why not?

Here are some suggested questions to answer after you watch the mini-lesson:
1. How are books made?
2. What did this lesson make you curious about? What other questions do you have about books?
Bonus Activity: Every story begins with an idea. Think of a story you could write. Who is your story about? It could be about a child like you—or it could be about an astronaut, a robot, a dog, or an alien monster! Use your imagination! It’s your story and you are in charge. Is there a problem that needs to be solved or a question that must be answered? What happens next? Maybe the problem gets worse! Or your first question leads to more questions! For each thing that happens in your story, write a sentence or draw a picture. Share your story with a friend!
