Hello PS 22 Families
We are so excited for the 2024-2025 school year. School begins for students on Thursday, September 5. School begins promptly at 8:30. Dismissal is 2:45 for grades K-5 and 2:30 for Pre-k. Please be sure to pick students up on time.
Students in grades K-5 will line up in the courtyard by their classroom numbers for the first few weeks of school. Once the routine is established we will allow students to come in through their respective doors at 8:30 when the bell rings. Pre-k students and classes with bussed students will enter the building at the door on Maple St. and meet in the cafeteria. Signs with room numbers will guide where to meet.
Students in Pre-k and classes with bussed students will dismiss in the cafeteria beginning at 2:30. Kindergarten will dismiss from the auditorium. You must enter through the front entrance. Grades 1 and 2 will exit into the courtyard closest to the gate. Grades 3, 4, and 5 will exit into the courtyard nearest the back of the school.
The school uniform is navy blue pants/skirt/jumper and the shirt is a yellow polo or button down shirt.
Classroom assignments were sent out with Kinvo via text message. If you did not receive your class assignment you can call the office at 201-915-6480 to ensure you have the most updated phone number on file.
There are 3 after school programs. CASPER, Team Walker, and New City Kids. They will begin on Monday, September 9. CASPER registration is online or in person on Sept. 5 and 6. Team Walker applications are available at the Team Walker building on Communipaw Ave. New City Kids application is online and will be in person on Sept. 5 and 6.
